Powder Sachet Manufacturing for Australian Brands

Small-run single-serve powder sachets manufactured in-house in Brisbane — with powder blending, printed film, packaging artwork and fulfilment available through MHS.

Trials from December 2026. Full production runs from January 2027.

Overview

Single-serve sachets without mass-production MOQs

Manufacturing Health Solutions (MHS) is bringing powder sachet manufacturing in-house for Australian supplement, functional food and wellness brands.

The service exists for brands that need a single-serve format without committing to the very large minimum runs that automated sachet lines normally demand. Where most sachet quotes start in the tens of thousands of units, ours starts at a fraction of that.

Powder sachet packing for single-serve formats from 5 g to 50 g fill weight. We supply the sachet film and run the filling, sealing and batch coding against your approved specification. Priced per sachet on volume breaks from a minimum order of 2,000 sachets. Powder blending, graphics and final unit packing are separate services and are quoted alongside.

We manufacture food products only. Claims and labelling must comply with FSANZ requirements. TGA-listed therapeutic products are not part of this service.

Applications

What brands put in a sachet

Powder filled and sealed into single-serve sachets, film included.

Electrolytes & hydration

Single-serve hydration powders where dosing accuracy and portability are the product.

Pre-workout & sports nutrition

Per-serve formats that remove the scoop and travel with the customer.

Greens & wellness powders

Daily-serve blends packed to a consistent fill weight, run after run.

Protein & functional powders

Higher fill weights up to 50 g per sachet, subject to powder flow and density.

Sampling & promotional packs

Sachets for product trial, events, launch campaigns and subscription inserts.

Variety & subscription packs

Multiple flavours or formulas packed to a single carton or pack configuration.

MHS can run sachet packing as a standalone service for production-ready powders, or manage the whole pathway from formulation and blending through to artwork, printed film, secondary packaging and fulfilment.
Pricing

Priced per sachet, on quantity breaks.

The rate covers the printed sachet film and the packing run itself. Powder blending, artwork setup, retail cartons, testing and freight are quoted alongside it.

Final pricing is confirmed once we have reviewed the powder, the serving weight, the sachet format and the production quantity. Artwork setup is a one-off graphics fee at project start, not a cost carried on every run.

Before you start

Not every powder runs on a sachet line

Automated filling is unforgiving about how a powder behaves. A blend that scoops perfectly into a tub can bridge, dust or segregate on a sachet machine, and that shows up as fill-weight variation or failed seals rather than as an obvious fault.

Powders with difficult flow characteristics may need a production trial, a formula adjustment, or a different packing approach before commercial manufacture. It is cheaper to find that out in a trial than in a production run.

Trials and production windows

Production trials open from December 2026 and full commercial runs from January 2027. Briefs submitted now are assessed and scheduled ahead of the first runs.

Packaging & labelling options

  • Printed sachet rollstock, included in the packing rate

The complete sachet pathway

Formulation → raw materials → powder blending → sachet artwork → printed film → sachet packing → retail cartons → warehousing → 3PL fulfilment.

Use the complete pathway, or engage MHS only for the stages you need. Sachet packing works as a standalone service for a production-ready powder.

How it works

Our sachet manufacturing process

  1. Technical brief and feasibility: formula or specification, serving weight, target quantity, powder characteristics, preferred sachet dimensions, artwork status and secondary packaging needs
  2. Trial where required: recommended for new powders, unusual formulations, new film structures or uncertain flow characteristics
  3. Quotation and production planning: production scope, commercial quote and indicative schedule once feasibility is confirmed
  4. Materials and packaging: powder, printed film and any secondary packaging received or manufactured and released for production
  5. Sachet production: forming, filling and sealing into individual sachets with in-process checks and production records
  6. Final packing and release: sachets counted, packed to the agreed format and released for freight, secondary pack-off or MHS 3PL intake

What we need to quote your project

  • Formula or ingredient list
  • Serving weight per sachet
  • Target production quantity
  • Current packaging format, if the product already exists
  • Preferred sachet dimensions, if known
  • Whether MHS needs to blend the powder
  • Whether artwork already exists
  • Whether retail cartons or multipacks are required
  • Desired production timing

If the product is already manufactured elsewhere, existing sachet samples, packaging specifications and production documentation help us assess compatibility much faster.

Why MHS

Why brands choose MHS for sachets

  • A minimum sized for a first run: a real production batch, not a mass-production commitment
  • Printed film in the rate: one less supplier to manage and one less margin stacked on top
  • Blending and packing under one roof: fewer handovers between the powder and the pack
  • Brisbane manufacturing: local production, direct communication, shorter feedback loops
  • The whole pathway if you want it: formulation, artwork, packing, cartons and 3PL in one workflow
