Import & White Label — Supplements & Cosmetics

Faster route to market with one Brisbane partner: overseas sourcing, freight & customs, AU-compliant relabelling and packaging.

Source, Import and Launch — One Accountable Partner

MHS qualifies overseas manufacturers, coordinates production and freight, then completes AU-compliant relabelling and packaging in Brisbane. We focus on food-type supplements and non-TGA cosmetics, aligning labels to the Food Standards Code for foods and considering AICIS obligations for cosmetics. Where applicable, we check DAFF/BICON import conditions.

How it works

  1. Supplier due diligence: capability, certifications (e.g., GMP/ISO/HACCP), specs & MOQ.
  2. Production & QC: samples (if needed), batch docs/CoAs, packaging proofs.
  3. Freight & customs: air/sea, customs broker coordination, import paperwork.
  4. Relabelling & pack: AU-compliant labels, batch coding, consumer-ready presentation.

Frequently Asked Questions

We can source a range of finished supplement and cosmetic products through our overseas network. Common examples include: capsules and tablets (vitamins, botanicals), gummies, protein powders, nutraceutical drinks, as well as skincare items like creams or serums. We work with vetted manufacturers who produce these to our specifications, and then we handle importing, testing, and applying your branding. If you have a specific product in mind, we likely can find a supplier for it.

Typically around 4–6 months. The timeline breaks down into sourcing & sampling (1–2 months), production at the overseas factory (another ~1–2 months), and shipping/customs clearance into Australia (1 month by sea freight; faster by air at higher cost). Once the bulk product arrives, we handle relabelling and local compliance checks in a few weeks. We’ll give you a project plan, but overall expect roughly half a year for a new white-label product launch.

Imported products must meet Australian regulations just like local ones. We ensure any supplement coming in has documentation (e.g. Certificate of Analysis) and ingredients that comply with Food Standards or TGA rules (if it were therapeutic, which we avoid). For cosmetics, we confirm they only contain AICIS-approved ingredients and help you register as the “importer” with AICIS if needed. We also check if any import permits are required for certain ingredients (via DAFF/BICON). In short, MHS handles the compliance legwork, but your brand will be the official importer of record.

Our white-label service quotes are typically all-inclusive to your door. That means we arrange freight, customs clearance, and any import duties/GST, and those costs are built into the project quote. You won’t have to separately hire a customs broker – we handle that process. The goal is a turnkey solution. If there are special taxes (e.g. on certain ingredients), we’ll inform you upfront.

We try to keep MOQs reasonable. Often, the minimum order for an imported supplement or cosmetic might be a few hundred units, but it varies by supplier and product type. For instance, a capsule manufacturer might require 5,000 bottles minimum, whereas a skincare product might allow 300–500 units. We will negotiate on your behalf for the lowest MOQ possible with reputable suppliers, and we’ll let you know the MOQ and pricing options before you commit.

Ideally, yes. You’ll need a brand name and logo at minimum. If you have your label design files ready, great – we can size them to the imported product’s packaging. If not, we can still start sourcing the product while you work on branding, but we cannot finalize packaging or ship the product without your labels. MHS can refer you to label designers if you need help. In summary, you don’t need a finished design on day one, but you will need it by the time the product is here and ready to label.
