Graphics & Labelling — Artwork That Actually Makes It to Shelf

Beautiful labels are great. Manufacturing-ready labels are what get you launched. We help you avoid delays with preflight checks, layout reviews, GS1 barcode readiness, and printer coordination.

Packaging is a Production Step — Not a Last-Minute Task

Most launch delays aren’t caused by manufacturing. They’re caused by artwork that looks fine on screen but fails in print, fails in compliance, or doesn’t match the packaging system. MHS provides graphics support as a manufacturing enabler — so your product moves smoothly from formulation to production to dispatch.

Why graphics matter in manufacturing

  • Compliance: label elements, ingredient statements, warnings, and required info are positioned correctly
  • Efficiency: fewer production holds caused by missing files, wrong dimensions, or print issues
  • Cost control: less rework, fewer rush print jobs, and fewer “redo the whole label” scenarios

Packages & Pricing

Choose the deliverable you need. If you’re not sure, start with hourly support — we’ll identify exactly what’s blocking you.

Basic Brand Kit

$750 + GST

A Basic Brand Kit establishes the visual foundation for your brand and ensures it can be applied consistently across packaging, labels, and digital channels.

The process begins with a short brand discovery stage to clarify your positioning, audience, and design direction. Based on this, we develop concept directions and refine the selected option into a complete brand identity.

The final brand kit includes a structured logo system, defined colour palette, and typography guidelines to support consistent use across product labels, packaging, and online assets.

All elements are delivered within a practical brand guide that provides clear visual examples and simple rules for applying the brand across packaging and digital materials.

Optional mockups can also be created to demonstrate how the brand may appear on packaging, labels, or digital graphics.

Label Design

$750 + GST

Our label design service produces production-ready product labels aligned with Australian regulatory and manufacturing requirements.

Label layouts are developed to integrate with your approved brand identity and packaging format, ensuring the product presents clearly and professionally in production.

Designs include placement of required product information such as ingredients lists, net contents, barcode areas, batch details, and advisory statements. This ensures labels are structured correctly for compliance and manufacturing readability.

Final artwork is prepared to printer specifications with correct dimensions, bleed, and colour setup. Files are supplied in print-ready formats along with editable source files suitable for printers or manufacturers.

Labels are designed to align with confirmed packaging formats such as bottles, jars, tubes, or pouches to ensure smooth production.

Advanced Packaging Design

$1,500 + GST

Advanced Packaging Design provides a tailored packaging solution for products requiring non-standard packaging formats, including custom pouches, boxes, cartons, and specialised containers.

The process begins with packaging discovery and research to understand your product positioning, target market expectations, and the packaging formats best suited to your product.

From this foundation, packaging concepts are developed that balance brand identity, user experience, and practical manufacturing considerations. Designs consider shelf visibility, handling, and the realities of retail or e-commerce distribution.

The final package artwork includes complete exterior graphics, typography, and layout planning, along with production specifications such as recommended materials, finishes, and printing methods.

All artwork is supplied as production-ready files aligned with manufacturer templates, ensuring a smooth handover for printing and packaging production. Presentation mockups can also be provided to support approvals and marketing previews.

Digital Assets

$1,500 + GST

Our Digital Asset service creates high-quality product visuals for e-commerce and online sales platforms.

Assets are designed to align with your approved brand kit and packaging design to maintain a consistent visual identity across digital channels.

This may include standalone product images for listings, lifestyle visuals showing the product in context, and interior scenes that support website banners or marketing content.

All imagery is prepared to meet the requirements of platforms such as Shopify and Amazon, with correct sizing, formatting, and web-optimised exports.

Final files are delivered in organised, platform-ready formats so they can be uploaded directly to your online store or product listings.

Optional add-ons include Amazon A+ content layouts, social media creatives, animations, and multi-SKU visual rollouts.

What we support

This is practical packaging support that prevents delays during production and dispatch.

  • Artwork preflight: file setup checks (dimensions, bleed, safe zones, fonts, linked assets)
  • Label layout checks: placement, hierarchy, and manufacturing fit for your packaging system
  • GS1 barcode readiness: format checks and scan reliability basics
  • Label printer sourcing & coordination: match specs, finishes, adhesives, lead times and supply

What we don’t do

We’re not a creative agency — we’re the manufacturing partner that makes sure your packaging works in production.

  • Brand Strategy (naming, positioning, market analysis)
  • Marketing design (ads, social campaigns, website creative)
  • Open-ended creative exploration without a defined packaging goal
If you already have a designer, we can collaborate — and step in to fix manufacturing issues fast.

How graphics fits your start-up launch pathway

Great brands move fast because they remove friction early. Packaging is one of the highest-leverage places to do that.

What this prevents

  • Delays: production holds caused by missing files, wrong dielines, or printer back-and-forth
  • Rework: redesigning labels after formulation or packaging decisions change
  • Cost blowouts: rush printing, reprints, and wasted packaging inventory

Best next step

If you’re still formulating, we can line up the packaging system and label plan in parallel, then finalise print-ready artwork once the formulation and label content is locked.

Frequently Asked Questions

Labels often fail late because the artwork wasn’t built for the packaging system or print requirements — wrong dimensions, missing bleed, fonts not embedded, barcode issues, or critical information positioned in unsafe zones. Preflight checks and layout reviews catch these problems before they become production holds.

Preflight is a technical check of your artwork files before print: dimensions, bleed, safe zones, resolution, fonts, linked assets, and export settings. It’s the fastest way to prevent printer rejects and rework.

We can guide barcode readiness and check that barcode placement and print setup is likely to scan reliably. Barcode ownership and issuance typically sits with the brand (via GS1), but we’ll help you implement it properly on-pack.

Yes. We can source and coordinate label printing to match your packaging system and manufacturing needs — material, finish, adhesive type, lead times, and supply planning — so production doesn’t get held up waiting on labels.

No — we focus on manufacturing-ready packaging and labelling. We don’t create brand identities or marketing campaigns. If you already have a designer, we can collaborate and fix production blockers quickly.

Start early. We can align packaging size, label dimensions, and print approach in parallel with formulation, then finalise print-ready artwork once the formulation and label content is locked. This prevents late-stage rework.
